    Position Summary:

     

    The MMO Director is responsible for establishing and running the Marketing Management Office (MMO) by developing and refining a flexible model for a modern marketing organization built on cross-functional MNAO and agency teams working iteratively to find efficiencies. Responsible for the program management function ensuring that all MNAO marketing projects are executed in an integrated, high-quality manner that's in tune with organizational goals and governance standards. The MMO director provides strategic business support, direction and advice to MNAO’s leadership on overall planning, prioritization, execution and delivery of marketing initiatives by establishing business priorities and managing risks and mitigation alternatives.

    Responsibilities

    Strategy, Planning & Governance

    • Develops vision and overall strategy for business operations of a cros-functional organization, along with specific objectives for the MMO practice
    • Leads the business planning process and roadmap aligned with MNAO’s leadership goals, priorities and budgets; Resolves cross-program and strategic issues
    • Approves portfolio and programs’ progress against the organizational strategy and objectives
    • Develops and executes strong communications plan for the team, keeping cross-functional teams informed and aligned on strategy and organizational changes
    • Approves and authorizes new or enhanced MMO processes and policies impacting the MMO team and function
    • Proactively engages with MMO leads and directors to identify opportunities for business/process improvements
    • Accountable for the adoption and adherence to process and planning within the Marketing organization

    Budget & Measurement

    • Develops MMO budgets and KPIs to support the MMO infrastructure
    • Owns the implementation of cross functional scorecards around marketing KPI’s for the overall brand, vehicles and prioritized projects.
    • Owns the marketing budget and moderates portfolio prioritization and review efforts with the leadership team

    Leadership

    • Leads a team internally
    • Has oversight of agency output and deliverables and provides guidance to agency on project demands
    • Continuously leads, coaches and develops team to enhance performance and career potential

    Qualifications

    Education (Minimum):

    • Bachelor’s degree in business management, finance, marketing or communications.
    • Master’s degree preferred.

    Experience: 

    • 12+ years progressive experience in project management and marketing, preferably within the automotive OEM environment or Fortune 100 brands.
    • 8+ years leading cross-functional teams.

    Training/Certification:

    • Project Management certification or successful completion of a recognized PM curriculum preferred.

    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

    •  Experience in working within an agile environment and building and leading agile teams
    • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
    • Validated ability to lead big changes across teams; Experience influencing cross-functional teams successfully
    • Validated project management training and experiences
    • Thorough understanding of diverse business and marketing processes and strategy development
    • Strong independent decision-making, analytical thinking, organizational, planning and problem-solving skills
    • Attention to detail in interpreting stakeholder inputs and translating their needs into actionable roadmaps

    • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
